LambdaTest to TestMu AI: Migration FAQ

When LambdaTest announced its transition to TestMu AI in January 2026, the announcement was carefully designed to minimize disruption. But announcements always generate questions, and this one was no exception. This FAQ collects the most common questions that have come up since the announcement and answers them in plain language. If you are responsible for a vendor record, a CI pipeline, a security review, or a contract that references LambdaTest, this is the article to read first.
The Basics
What exactly happened? LambdaTest transitioned to TestMu AI on January 12, 2026. The legal entity, LambdaTest Inc., is unchanged. The product, the team, the contracts, and the underlying infrastructure all continue as they were. Only the public-facing identity changed.
Was the company acquired? No. There was no acquisition, merger, or change in ownership. The same shareholders, leadership, and corporate structure continue. The transition was a strategic decision made by the existing company to better reflect what the platform now does.
Is LambdaTest discontinued? No. LambdaTest, the platform, is now operating as TestMu AI. The product, capabilities, and customer accounts continue without interruption.
What is the new website? The new home is testmuai.com. The old lambdatest.com domain continues to function and redirects to the new site during the transition period.
Account and Access
Do I need to create a new account? No. Your existing account works exactly as before. There is no migration required.
Do I need to update my login credentials? No. Usernames, passwords, SSO configurations, and multi-factor authentication settings continue to work without changes.
Will my API keys still work? Yes. Existing API keys remain valid. There is no rotation requirement tied to the transition. If you choose to rotate keys for other reasons, you can do so through the normal account interface.
Will my SSO integration continue to function? Yes. SAML, OIDC, and other federated login configurations continue to work as they were configured. No reconfiguration is needed.
Integrations and Pipelines
Will my CI/CD pipelines continue to work? Yes. Pipelines built against the LambdaTest platform continue to run on TestMu AI. The underlying execution endpoints, authentication tokens, and result reporting all function as before.
Do I need to update API endpoints in my scripts? Not immediately. Existing API endpoints continue to function. The company has not announced a deprecation timeline for old endpoints, and any future changes will be communicated with substantial advance notice through standard channels.
What about my Slack, Teams, Jira, and other tool integrations? All third-party integrations continue to function. The notifications, status updates, and bidirectional sync that you have configured remain operational.
Will whitelisted IP addresses change? No. The IP ranges your firewall has been configured to allow continue to be the IP ranges from which TestMu AI operates. There is no need to update firewall rules.
Will the product domains used by my scripts change? Not in the near term. Product API domains continue to operate. If you use scripts that hit specific subdomains, those subdomains continue to function. Long-term migrations of subdomains to the testmuai.com parent will be announced separately with redirection support.
Contracts and Billing
Is my contract still valid? Yes. Contracts signed with LambdaTest Inc. remain in full force. The legal entity is unchanged, so all signed agreements continue to bind the same parties.
Will my pricing change? Your existing pricing tier and commercial terms remain as agreed in your contract. Any future pricing changes would be communicated through your account team during normal renewal cycles. The transition itself does not trigger any pricing adjustments.
Who will appear on invoices? Invoices continue to be issued by LambdaTest Inc. Over time, the TestMu AI brand may appear alongside the legal entity name. Your accounts payable system does not need to be updated, because the legal payee is unchanged.
Do I need to re-sign any agreements? No. No re-signing is required for the transition. Renewals proceed on the dates and terms specified in your existing contract.
What if I need updated documents reflecting the new brand name? Contact your account manager or success contact, who can provide updated cover letters or addenda referencing the TestMu AI brand while keeping the underlying agreements intact.
Compliance and Security
Are existing certifications still valid? Yes. SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other compliance certifications held by LambdaTest Inc. continue to apply. The certifications attach to the legal entity, which is unchanged.
Will GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy commitments continue? Yes. All privacy and data protection commitments continue under the same legal entity with the same Data Processing Addendum terms.
What about regional data residency? Data residency arrangements continue as configured. The infrastructure, geographic boundaries, and data handling commitments remain as documented.
Will my next security review need to start from scratch? No. Your previous security review of LambdaTest is fully applicable to TestMu AI because the company, infrastructure, and security posture are the same. If your internal process requires a documentation update reflecting the new trade name, your account team can supply that.

The Product
Will my tests continue to run on the platform? Yes. Tests written for LambdaTest continue to run on TestMu AI without any modifications. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, and any other supported frameworks all continue to work.
Will my historical test data be preserved? Yes. Test runs, screenshots, video recordings, logs, and analytics history are all preserved and accessible through the same interfaces.
Will the user interface change? The user interface is being refreshed gradually to reflect the new brand. The changes are visual and navigational rather than functional. Core workflows remain in the same places.
What new capabilities does TestMu AI offer? The platform now centers on Autonomous AI Agents for Testing – agents that plan, author, execute, and analyze tests with minimal human intervention – and the Agentic AI Test Cloud, the execution layer that runs those tests at scale. These capabilities are available in your account but are not forced on existing workflows.
Do I have to use the agentic features? No. Existing workflows continue to work. The agentic capabilities are available when you want to explore them, but they are additive rather than a replacement.
Communications
Why am I being asked to whitelist testmuai.com? As outbound communications migrate from the lambdatest.com domain to testmuai.com, some email filters that aggressively block unfamiliar sender domains may flag legitimate messages from your account team or the support team. Whitelisting testmuai.com prevents this.
Will old email addresses still work? Yes. Messages sent to existing lambdatest.com email addresses will continue to be received and answered. Reply-to addresses will gradually transition to testmuai.com over time, but old messages will not bounce.
Where will product announcements come from? Product announcements, security notices, and operational updates will increasingly come from testmuai.com addresses. Critical notices may also be posted to the in-product dashboard and the company status page.
Partners and Resellers
Do my partner agreements continue? Yes. Partner agreements with LambdaTest Inc. continue under the same terms. Commission structures, reseller discounts, and joint marketing arrangements remain in force.
Do I need updated marketing materials? Refreshed partner collateral, sales decks, product briefs, and logos are being made available through the standard partner contact. Your account contact will work with you on rollout timing.
Should I update co-branded content on my website? When convenient. There is no urgent deadline. The company is providing media kits and updated boilerplate to make the transition easy.
The Community
Will the TestMu Conference continue? Yes. The conference that gave the transition its name continues in its existing form, with community-driven content and a multi-vendor speaker lineup.
Will community programs continue? Yes. Ambassador programs, content collaborations, open-source sponsorships, and other community initiatives continue uninterrupted.
How can I help spread the word? The company is sharing social assets and sample copy through community channels for anyone who would like to share the news with their network.
Documentation and Internal References
Do I need to update internal documentation that references LambdaTest? Eventually, yes, but at your own pace. There is no deadline, and the company has explicitly designed the transition to tolerate mixed branding in customer-side documentation. Most teams update references during natural document review cycles.
What about links in my code, README files, or wikis that point to LambdaTest URLs? Those continue to work. The old domain redirects to the new one during the transition. You can update links opportunistically as you touch files for other reasons.
Will the documentation portal content change? Existing documentation remains accessible. Content is being transitioned gradually, and URL stability is being maintained so that bookmarks and search results continue to resolve.
If You Have More Questions
If you have a question that this FAQ does not address, the easiest path forward depends on your relationship with the company. Existing customers should reach out to their account manager or success contact, who can answer specific questions about their environment. Partners should contact their partner team representative. Press, analyst, and investor inquiries can be directed to the contacts listed on the testmuai.com website.
The company has been clear throughout this transition that the goal is to make the transition operationally invisible. If you encounter a real disruption during the transition, that is something the team wants to hear about and resolve. Most users, in practice, will simply notice the new branding, update their internal references at a convenient pace, and continue using the platform as they always have.
